AYRES EN CAPRICCIO'S

OVER HET CONCERT: 1660: na Cromwell komt koning Charles II aan het bewind. Hij restaureert ook de muzikale hofhouding: John Jenkins en Matthew Locke mogen de traditie van de consortmuziek naar een hoogtepunt voeren, Thomas Baltzar en Nicola Matteis weven kosmopolitische invloeden in het Londense klanklandschap. Het snarenduo Van der Voort-Jacobs verkent de Engelse barok op de grens tussen kunst- en volksmuziek, continentale mode en lokale specialiteiten.
